Now is the time to start thinking about Medicare. Turning 65? You can sign up for Medicare three months before your 65th birthday. If you’re looking for a new policy, Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) starts on October 15th. Think of this as open enrollment for new or different insurance plans.

Here’s How it Works: You have a 7-month window to sign up for Medicare. Three months before your birthday month & three months after. 

Signing up for Medicare: Takes place through Social Security. Use this link: https://secure.ssa.gov/RIL/SiView.action

The Process: For choosing a Medicare Insurance plan starts with agents like me. After you receive a Medicare Card & Number I will help you choose a plan that best suits your needs, and submit an application to one of the many insurance carriers we work with. 

Changing Medicare Plans: You have that option during Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) which starts on October 15th and runs through December 7th. Think of this as the Open Enrollment Period.
